How to Feel Good Every Day

Feeling good is the number one most important goal you should have in every moment – Kevin Trudeau. When you feel good you will feel more energetic and motivated. When you feel more energetic and motivated you are more likely to be active in doing things that you value and love which in turn makes you feel happier and healthier. The bottom line is that in order to align with the things you really value, believe in, and want in life you have to feel good first! As Wayne Dyer says, “There is no way to happiness; happiness is the way.”

Feelings are your inner guidance system. When you feel good you know you are in alignment with want you love and what you want. When you feel bad you know you are focusing on what you do not want and what you do not love – Kevin Trudeau. Always remember that what you focus on expands; so when you are feeling down remind yourself to focus on things that make you feel good. Use your inner guidance system “your feelings” to alert you when you think negatively.

Pay attention to the way you feel in every moment. When you feel down ask yourself, “What am I thinking about?” As Byron Katie teaches in “the work;” identify what you are thinking about and ask yourself “Can I absolutely, positively, know that this thought is true?” You will see that MOST of what you are thinking about are predictions and assumptions that are likely inaccurate or false. If most of what you are focusing on and worrying about are based on assumptions, than you are wasting your precious time and energy creating the exact result you do not want to happen. Your feelings are telling you where you are in alignment to what you want. Feeling down means you are not in alignment; feeling good means you are.

Emotions and feelings are alive and will take a life of their own once activated within you. Eckhart Tolle talks about the “pain body” and says that emotions, just like any organism want to survive. Negative emotions want to thrive within you; the more you dwell in them the more power you are given them. You have the choice to focus on positive emotions and the more positive emotions are focus on the faster the negative emotions will lose power and die out. (⋆Note here: Yes it is important to acknowledge negative emotions and read their message to see what they are trying to tell you; but do not dwell on them. Identify why they might keep coming up and then stop focusing on the emotion and focus on learning the lesson. More on this in weeks to come.)

 Here are some sure ways to help you feel good:

1)    Smile all the time even if you are alone

2)    Express gratitude to yourself and show appreciation to others

3)    List all of your accomplishments and successes to yourself

4)    Set positive intentions and positive expectations

5)    Try new and different things often

6)    Do what you love to do

7)    Go for a walk outside; be in nature; be in the sun daily

8)    Listen to inspiring music, sing, dance, play an instrument

9)    Human contact: touch, hugs, massage, and loving on your children and pets

10) Discover new interests, hobbies, and activities

11) Read to empower and write to clarify thoughts and visions

12) Spending time with people that uplift you

13) Eat fresh foods everyday; drink tons of water

14) Do kind acts of service to others; those you know and those you don’t

15) Give compliments, recognition, and praise to others

Summary:  Feeling good is a choice; it is your birthright to feel good every day. No one can take this away from you unless you let them. Happiness and feeling good comes from within you. This is so easy to see when you monitor your thoughts. When you are feeling down you’ll see that you are thinking negatively and about things you either regret about the past or dread about the future. Keep your thoughts in the present moment and think about what you do want. You are creating your reality with your thoughts; so use your emotional guidance system to keep you focused on positive thoughts and feeling good.
